 This time of year is meant to be spent with friends and family. As Sheriff of Gadsden County, I have seen traffic fatalities and the impact that they have on families within our community. As we are in the Holiday Season, many of you will be traveling on our roads as you partake in shopping and visiting friends. It is in the unlikely of circumstances that accidents occur and we ask that you be aware of your surroundings as we enjoy this festive time of year. As you prepare to leave home, take the time to make sure that every passenger in your vehicle is buckled up. Monitor your driving habits as we have active road construction on Highway 90. Drive at a safe speed at all times and remember if you see a law enforcement vehicle with emergency lights in operations, slow down and safely move into the furthest lane. On behalf of the men and woman at the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office, I would like to wish you and yours and safe and merry holiday season.
