Gadsden County Sheriff's Office arrest one on felony drug charges and another for pobation violation in early morning search warrant.


The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office Vice & Narcotics Unit strikes again with another search warrant, this time in the Shiloh Community. On Friday June 9th, 2006 at 5:15 AM the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office conducted a search warrant at 395 Holt Lane. The Vice & Narcotics Unit arrested 23-year-old Channel "Telly" Hover, Jr. at 395 Holt Lane on drug charges during the search warrant. Hover was charged with 2 counts of Sale of Marijuana, 1 count of Sale of Powder Cocaine, 1 count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 1 count of Possession of Marijuana with the intent to distribute, and 1 count of Cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Investigators state that several items were recovered that indicated Hover had been packaging and distributing the illegal narcotics from the residence at 395 Holt Lane. This investigation was a month long operation that began due to complaints from neighbors on Holt Lane. Sheriff Morris A. Young states, "We will continue our efforts and work hard to rid communities of drug dealers who erode the quality of life for citizens around Gadsden County."

Another arrest stemmed from the narcotics investigation at 395 Holt Lane, Robert Lee Wilford aka "Po-Neck" was also arrested on Serenity Lane on warrants for VOP for aggravated battery on a pregnant victim, 2 counts of false imprisonment, and sexual battery coerces by threat. After conducting the search warrant at 395 Holt Lane and securing the area, a small team of investigators surrounded a residence on Serenity Lane about 6:15 AM. Investigators learned of Wilford's location while conducting the narcotics investigation at 395 Holt Lane. Crime Stoppers also forwarded information to the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office on Wilford's location, which corroborated with information received by the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office.

Wilford, who had managed to escape arrest several times before, was hiding from authorities at the home of a relative on Serenity Lane in the Shiloh Community in Quincy, Florida. After being arrested, Wilford stated, "I didn't plan on going back to prison this year." Wilford was taken into custody without incident and is being held in the Gadsden County Jail with no bond.
